Ally Auto and Ally Bank clients can earn a $100 cash bonus by opening a Robo Portfolio or Self-Directed
Investing account. To qualify, they must set up and make at least three consecutive automated
monthly transfers of at least $50 each. Their $100 cash bonus will be deposited into their Invest
account within 30 days after the third recurring transfer.
Ally Invest Transfer Promotion Details
You can submit the broker-to-broker transfer form online: log in to your Ally Invest account and select Transfers, then Invest
Transfers.
You can receive a transfer fee rebate of $75 if you complete an ACAT transfer of $2,500 or more from
a different broker. Ally Invest will deposit this credit into your new account within 30 days
of receiving your reimbursement request form. If you don’t have a transfer fee,
just make note of that on the form, and Ally Invest will still credit you the $75 as a bonus for
switching to them.
You do need to call in, use the online chat feature, or message the broker (using the service email
address: support@invest.ally.com) to make a request. This needs to be done with 15 days of opening the
new account.

Step 1: Open a New Self-Directed Account with Ally Invest
The first thing you need to do is open a new brokerage account with Ally Invest. To do this,
simply head over to the Ally Invest page with the bonus ad and click on the Open Account button. Be sure to open a self-directed account and not a managed account. The cash bonus offer is valid only for self-directed accounts.
Step 2: Fund the New Account With at Least $10,000
Ally’s cash bonus special is on a stepped scale, which means the more you deposit or transfer into the new account, the larger your cash bonus will be. The minimum deposit or transfer is $10,000, and this amount will earn you a $100 prize. It does take a $2 million contribution to get the $3,000 bonus. Here is the complete ladder:

The required funding can be made with either a deposit of new money or a transfer of securities. With the former option, Ally Invest accepts both ACH and wire transfers.
For the latter option, Ally Invest participates in the ACAT network. You can make a transfer request inside the Ally Invest website (click on My Accounts -> Transfer Funds -> Transfer an Account and follow the prompts).
With either option, the required funding must be received within 60 days of account opening. Ally Invest promises to credit the cash bonus within 10 days of receiving the required funds.
Step 3: Maintain the Account for at Least 300 Days
Ally Invest requires the bonus and qualifying deposit to remain in the new account for 300 days. If you withdraw either one, Ally Invest has the right to debit the account for the amount of the bonus. Trading losses are not considered withdrawals.

Only U.S. residents are eligible for this special. Ally Invest excludes current Ally Invest customers from the offer. Former Ally Invest clients who closed their accounts more than 90 days ago are eligible.
Any cash bonus received will be reported on Form 1099 at the end of the year.
One More Ally Invest Bonus
If you opt for an account transfer to satisfy Ally’s minimum deposit requirement and incur an ACAT fee
at your old firm, Ally will refund the fee. There is a $75 maximum on this special, and Ally requires
a minimum transfer of $2,500.
